Shimla Weekend
The Ridge, Mall Road, Jakhoo Temple, and a half-day in Kufri. Built for a quick escape without wasting a day on the road.

Himachal Pradesh · Shimla District · 2,200m
The Ridge, Mall Road, and toy-train views down to Kalka. Our easiest route, and still one of our most requested: good for a first mountain trip, a weekend escape, or a quiet family visit.
Shimla sits at 2,200m, roughly 115km from Chandigarh (a 4-hour drive) and 343km from Delhi (7–8 hours). It was the summer capital of British India, and the colonial bones are still everywhere (the Ridge, Christ Church, the Viceregal Lodge), layered over a working Himachali hill town. It's the gentlest route we sell: good roads the whole way, no altitude to worry about, and enough to fill three days without rushing.
Shimla's pedestrian spine: vehicle-free, lined with colonial-era shopfronts, and the best place to watch the town come alive at dusk.
A UNESCO World Heritage narrow-gauge railway, 96km of tunnels and bridges through pine forest. We can build a one-way toy-train leg into any itinerary.
Shimla's highest point, a steep walk or short cab ride up to a 108-foot Hanuman statue and the best panoramic view in town.
Kufri for snow (in season) and pony rides, Naldehra for its 9-hole colonial-era golf course and deodar forest. Both under an hour from the Ridge.

Three ways to do Shimla, depending on how much time you have and what you're after.
